One of my closest friends has just had a baby boy and I'm stuck with what to buy her! She's got tonnes of clothes for him already. I'm thinking something for her and her husband?? Stuck on meal voucher but seems a bit impersonal. Anyone had a baby gift that was a little bit different that you loved?? Please help!

Nice ready meals, Cook/WAitrose/M&S type nice, along with prepared veg, pudding and custard. If they have other chidren, get something for them too.

The best present I got when dd was born was 2 days of nice easy food, for me, DH and DS. With nice tea bars, biscuits, milk and bread. I couldn’t tell you what any other presents were.

my sister has just had a baby and instead of buying her stuff for the baby (because she already had tons!), i put together a gift bag for her. i put in some nice pyjamas, fluffy socks, a candle, chocolates, a bottle of wine, a bath bomb, a face mask, a voucher for a takeaway. all the stuff she needed to feel more like herself instead of just a new mum. i also bought a little teddy and some
essentials like muslin squares, dummies, scratch mittens for the baby, and some cars for her little boy so he didn't feel left out.

I have this for my baby and have given it to a few friends who have had babies recently. It is lovely to take a pic each month and work towards a big frame of all 12 pics once they're a year old!

When I had ds2 8 years ago turned up at my door with a shopping bag with a naice ready meal, stuff for pudding and a couple of other bits. Was so thoughtful and such a nice surprise. Was enough to feed the whole family and was great not to have to think about what to feed everyone and the cakes and custard were a big hit with the dc.

Oh thank you all for these! Think I'm going to incorporate them all - love the blanket! Then pjs and some ready meals/home cooked meals. Perfect!! Thank you Grin
