To ask weight watchers or slimming world?

I'm about 3 stone overweight and sick of it. I've tried my fitness pal, calorie counting, low carb high fat, a few other things. Nothing seems to stick or help at the minute.
I'm thinking if I pay to join a group the rl support and weekly weigh ins could help.

Does anyone have any experience of either weight watchers or slimming world? Is one better than the other? How do they differ?

I’ve never got on with slimming world, and gained everything twice with Cambridge so joining we tomorrow, I’ll keep you posted x

I just re joined WW first meeting tomorrow!

The app is good and I have also done SW before which I think is good but it's hard to count everything whereas WW counts everything

The app is very much like my fitness pal

SW is the only 'diet' I've done. It really doesn't feel like a diet, you can eat lots, you don't need to weigh and count, just eat healthily.

You still eat carbs which was good for me.

I found it easy you just need to be prepared with meals.

I lost on Weightwatchers but put it all back on because I found it a faff counting points (which is what it was when I did it - not sure what it is now).

I'm now doing Slimming World and losing gradually. I like it because I don't feel hungry and I can feed the family on the same things without giving it much thought.

I prefer SW, I find it easier than WW, it seems less like a diet and I am less hungry

I prefer ww. I needed to tackle portion control which I didn’t feel sw world does. I really liked ww and lost steadily it made me make some better choices and think about what I was putting on my plate. Sill lost loads of weight on ww as well and has manage to keep it off. I like the weekly points gave me a wine and crisps night at the weekend as well. Didn’t feel I was missing out on anything.
