DD is 15 and prefers to get in from school, have a 2.5 hour nap and then go to bed at 2am, she gets her school work done etc etc but AIBU to put a stop to this?

I wouldn't mind tbh, not at 15, especially as she is getting sleep. I used to do this at her age

Hm I had glandular fever at that age and was utterly exhausted and needed a nap after school, tho wouldn't have stayed up til 2am even with a nap. I'd say if shes okay and achieving leave her to it. Remember my dad saying he got up at 2pm and worked til 2am as it worked for him, whereas o was more of a 9am-9pm kinda girl: as long as she can concentrate and learn there's no issue with her timekeeping. My DD7 has always woken at 530, but now she's 7 has to entertain herself/ read til 730 weekdays or later at weekends. Seems she's an early riser but prob wouldn't challenge the early start provided she gets her rest?

DS is 16 and does this, he goes to bed about 12/1am. I used to do the same as well. But at that age I was out clubbing a lot.

I used to nap after school quite often as a teen. My Dad used to wake me up and I still remember and am annoyed about it , I was truly tired.
