I had a coil fitted about 2 and a half months ago (maybe 3) . Got my periods as normal but this time round my period was 5 days late and it’s very vert light (never ever happens to me!) I feel the most nauseous I have ever ever felt ... apart from my last two pregnancies. Please just tell me I’m probably just sick and not pregnant . I mean I’d have to be superwoman to get pregnant through the coil right? Though last time I’m pretty sure I got pregnant from DP hanging his boxers on the end of the bed 😂🤔

I know everyone will tell me to take a test and I will. I was just wondering if anyone has ever got pregnant on the coil (the hormonal one not copper if that makes a difference)

Could it be the coil making you late and light and the stress is making you feel nauseous?

My DH was a coil baby....but yes....take a test.

ah sorry he was a copper coil baby...don't know if its possible with the hormone ones.

The could can stop your periods, so a light period I would expect as normal. I would imagine the hormoans in it, just like the implant can make you feel pregant at times. Though you won't know for sure until you do a test.

I wasn’t particularly stressed until I woke up one morning and thought god I’ve never felt this sick in my life. Then realised I had ! Sore boobs too. I think I’ll get a test to be sure!

My period stopped completely with Mirena, had a light bleed about a month after fitting.

I know of a coil baby although he’s 21 now, so it may well have changed since then. Worth getting a test for your own peace of mind I think. FWIW DP just has to look at me and I’m pregnant but the implant has proved idiot proof since DS2 Grin

My friend had the mirena coil fitted c. 8-9 weeks ago and is also having symptoms which she recognises as pregnancy symptoms! Perhaps this is a "thing" with the IUS. (No, she's not pregnant).

It was negative. Still constantly nauseated and still extremely sore and bigger boobs. Must be coil side effects!
