Unable to uninstall Facebook

I'm unable to un install FB on my S8 and I've been told that Facebook pay Samsung to make sure no one can remove it!!!!!
Anyone know if this is true and is it across ALL phones? I've paid £500+ for a phone and I can't be in control of which apps I want and don't want?!? AiBU?

I think you can disable it in your settings-apps-facebook, I have the s7 and that is the only way to get rid of apps that came with the phone.
Also, there are possibly other Facebook related apps on your phone that you will want to disable.

It wouldn't surprise me of Facebook, Twitter and the likes pay to have their apps preloaded, as wrong as it may be.

Just google how to uninstall FB on a Samsung S8 and you will find your answer.

I have just checked mine and I don't have the option to uninstall it either (s9). I had the S5 before that and could.

The most you can do is disable it & remove the icon from home screen. Pretty wrong really

I don't have a Samsung however I do have an Android and I'm unable to uninstall Facebook too, the most I can do is disable it.
