To ask for feedback from a nail technician

Hi all,

Just wondering if there are any nail techs on here? I did nails years and years ago but never went into it beyond the training so I'm doing a refresher course. This is my first proper set. They are far from perfect but I would love some constructive feedback. I haven't yet braved trying it on a real person but that's my next step.

Thank you 😊

I don’t know anything about doing nails but finding that disembodied hand deeply creepy! Confused

DemocracyDiesInDarkness · 21/09/2018 22:33

I can't help but that fake hand thing is fucking unnerving ShockGrin

JennyOnAPlate · 21/09/2018 22:33

That is one fucking creepy photo

CaoNiMa · 21/09/2018 22:34

I'm not a nail tech but they look a bit wonky Blush

HypoCali · 21/09/2018 22:36

The middle one is wonky but the others look ok to me. Totally going to have nightmares about that hand though

IHaveBrilloHair · 21/09/2018 22:36

They aren't even straight.
Sorry Op, I don't want to crush you but I think you need more training.

Your beads of polymer might be a bit too runny. Smile lines aren’t too bad at all seeing as you’ve not done it for years. Try not to have too much of the pink over the whites as it dulls it. Keep at it, it’ll soon be second nature!

They look too big for the nail bed to me.

Have you put the acrylic on a tip or directly onto the fake nail from the trainer? Try with a tip to help guide the smile line.
