To not be coping with ds starting school

The school run, being frozen out of the playground chats, the lack of play dates, the worry DS is happy, that he is coping, that's he's developing normally, that he's making friends...is this all normal anxiety for a mum of a reception age child or have I worked myself up?

They’re normal concerns but your reaction to them is abnormal I think. You sound overly anxious if you’re using the term “not coping”

You have totally worked yourself up. He's been there 3 weeks- how many playdates were you expecting when all the kids are just dealing with starting school??

The best thing you can do to help him is relax yourself.

It’s quite early on to worry about playground chats- it’s only been a few weeks- it takes time! Organise a few play dates!
All the other stuff- talk to the teacher!
Am sure he’s fine!
