Now I know I am not being unreasonable here, just after someone to say cheers too maybe !!!
Long week, banging headache, 4 year old extremely tired and irritable, up from 4am with my 1 year old. Have just put toy story on for the kids, so am currently cooking tonight's spag bol, listening to REM whilst sipping on a small gin. Anyone else?!?!!
Cheers to the weekend! Gin

Sometimes you've just got to do it. I was on the gin at about 3:30 a few weeks ago after a nightmare smear test.

AsAProfessionalFekko · 21/09/2018 16:53

We've already started in my office.

hotmessmom82 · 21/09/2018 16:54

Definitely not too early. We have a film on and are waiting for take out to come and then I will be cracking open a freezing cold desperado Smile . I did a 10hr shift last night and have had 4hrs sleep so feel like I deserve it.

happymummy12345 · 21/09/2018 16:56

No way is it too early, fancy something myself. But will wait until later when ds is in bed and I'm sat down watching telly and relaxing, when I will enjoy it more

golddustwomen · 21/09/2018 16:58

Cheers to you all!!

Freezing cold desperado sounds delightful!

Got some freezing cold buds in the fridge, was going to wait for oh to get home, but fuck it Grin

Just about to pour a glass myself....

Xiaoxiong · 21/09/2018 17:00

ProfessionalFekko what do you do? Your office sounds great!

I'm going out for dinner tonight and fancy a little pre-game tipple myself. It's been a seriously shitty week at work.

Mud in yer eye, OP Wine

Xiaoxiong · 21/09/2018 17:02

Although I would say that if you have a banging headache you might want to drink a couple of big glasses of water first which will help either with the headache, or with any resulting hangover Grin

SinglePringle · 21/09/2018 17:04

We cracked open the beers / wine at 4pm at my work. Happens every Friday, treats from the boss (with snacks n’all).

Cheers everyone, it’s the freakin’ weekend!

Aph413 · 21/09/2018 17:05

Crack on. I'm in work til 9pm today from a 15 hour shift. Counting down the hours until I can have a drink now.

golddustwomen · 21/09/2018 17:10

Xia - banging headache meaning my children if I'm honest haha

I normally open a bottle of wine on a Friday as soon as I walk through the door from work at 4.30! Am resisting tonight, as packing the car to take my eldest DD to Uni tomorrow! Not entirely sure where those 18yrs went. I'll be drinking a copious amount tomorrow night though, that's for sure!

WhatchaMaCalllit · 21/09/2018 17:14

I go with the theory that it's 5 O'Clock somewhere!

Crack on. My tipple of choice is prosecco. Love the stuff. Will be raising a glass tomorrow night when SCD returns to our screens.

CookieSue222 · 21/09/2018 17:31

YABU waiting till nearly 5pm on a Friday.
YANBU listening to REM (only the bestest band in the world ever) - hope it's something relaxing like night swimming.
Mine's Soave and soda (large).
Happy Friday!

golddustwomen · 21/09/2018 17:46

Sal - wow, I bet your feeling every emotion under the sun right now. Good luck to your DD!

Watcha - yes like that theory. Might be my new motto of life Grin

Cookie - sidewinder sleeps tonight is currently playing. Love this band! Have you seen them live? I haven't unfortunately, although my mom has, she said he was a total dick and has completely put her off them!

I have a few drinks of choice, nothing beats a cold Budweiser for me though! Explains never being able to get rid of the mum tum I suppose Wink

Strawberries lime and ginger beer with lots of ice and whisky. But probably tomorrow

CookieSue222 · 21/09/2018 17:58

Seen them several times. They were the best live. Sorry your mom thought Michael Stipe a dick - he always came over well IMO - bit worthy maybe. Enjoy your gin/bud.
Sal - OMG! Can so clearly remember taking DD to start Uni 7 years ago, and DS 2 years later. Got them both back living at home now....... (maybe why I need a drink occasionally?)😊

babysharksmummy · 21/09/2018 18:21

DH out with mates tonight, had v stressful day with my toddler, got to WFH now he's finally asleep and then wine time!

InDubiousBattle · 21/09/2018 18:27

I could so go a glass of something now! We have vodka (Dp's tipple), Some real ale things (keep in for my dad), Rum (neice's), Guiness (nephew's)and Taurus (shitty sweet Aldi cider- other, less descerning nephews)......but no white wine! Or any wine at all!
Dp will be home in half and hour with emergency supplies!
The two eldest nibblings are back at uni. My nephew hasn't been around all summer as he's had an internship but my niece has been here all the whole time and I'm going to miss her like mad!

LadyFidgetAndHerHandbag · 21/09/2018 19:25

I'm feeling quite tipsy as my husband is late home and my stomach is empty and I've drunk a large glass of wine. Hic.
