To go back to bed

After the kids leave for school? Have been up since 5:30.

Dogs have been out for a walk so will likely sleep the day away.
First day off in weeks and absolutely shattered, realistically there are a few things that need doing and it would be a much more productive use of my time but I can hear my bed calling my name.

Do it! Arrise later only to make a bacon butty which should be consumed back in bed with a cup of tea.

pinkunicorn20 · 21/09/2018 07:38

@Hodgehegg I like the way you think :)

Be good to yourself and do it. Get off mumsnet and sleeeeeeep. You need it.

PecanPastry · 21/09/2018 07:39

Listen to your body and get some kip.

@Hodgehegg I know want a bacon butty, thanks for that Grin

fc301 · 21/09/2018 07:40

No brainer

FayKnights · 21/09/2018 07:40

Do it! Listen to your body and you will feel so much better for it.

Monty27 · 21/09/2018 07:42

Curl up with the radio on or your favourite book. Shame you didn't get a sarnie and coffee while out with the dogs. Hear from you about lunchtime? Brew

MissusGeneHunt · 21/09/2018 07:42

Heaven. Do it, you deserve it!

whatwouldkeithRichardsdo2 · 21/09/2018 07:43

That's my plan. Enjoy!

pinkunicorn20 · 21/09/2018 07:44

You can't pour from an empty vessel. If you need time to rest, take it.

Enjoy!

Harrykanesrightsock · 21/09/2018 07:48

Completely unacceptable. What will the neighbours think!!! And think of the children what kind of example are you setting.

Oops sorry just channeling my mother there GrinGrin

Get back to bed and enjoy your extra hours kip. I’m hoping for an afternoon nap later myself.

NurseButtercup · 21/09/2018 07:50

Do it do it do it.

Don't forget to set your alarm to wake up before the kids come home.

RedSkyLastNight · 21/09/2018 07:52

I agree - go back to bed ... but I'm very confused as to why you got up at 5.30 if you had a day off and were tired. Presumably the DC could have let the dogs out and you could have taken them for a walk later?

Monty27 · 21/09/2018 07:54

Zzzzzz
Smile

Damnpeskykids · 21/09/2018 07:54

Do it!! I fully intend to join ds2 for his afternoon nap as ds1 & dd are at school and nursery until teatime! Hoorah!!

Threeminis · 21/09/2018 07:58

I used to do this all the time!!
Do it op, you'll feel better for it. Don't sleep too long though or you won't sleep tonight!

pinkunicorn20 · 21/09/2018 08:00

@RedSkyLastNight I don't understand your confusion, I was going about my day and decided to be a bit lazy. Perhaps you need a sneaky nap too!!

OP posts:
pinkunicorn20 · 21/09/2018 08:01

Sleep time!!
Thanks everyone

eddielizzard · 21/09/2018 08:17

Don't feel guilty! Extra sleep will do you much more good than doing chores that will only need to be redone tomorrow. Enjoy the sleep.

pinkunicorn20 · 21/09/2018 12:10

Whoops that was a bit of a longer snooze then I anticipated.
Unfortunately the housework fairies did not appear so I'd better crack on with my day!!
