To serve this to DH?!

Shopping day tomorrow. I just created some concoction of everything that needed use. I cooked chicken breasts in loads of herbs, put them in a baking dish with potato gratin on top and sprinkled crumbed tortilla chips on top. Currently in oven. Felt like a right chef making it and now I feel like a fool. Would you eat this?! 😂

I don’t eat meat but I think that seems perfectly reasonable. I just used some spare edamame, artichoke and butterbean dip (home made) as a pasta sauce. If it works, it works!

Backstabbath · 20/09/2018 20:05

Sounds fucking lush.

butterflysugarbaby · 20/09/2018 20:05

That's going to taste bloody weird!

NoTeaNoShadeNoPinkLemonade · 20/09/2018 20:05

sounds yum

MrsGrindah · 20/09/2018 20:05

It didn’ the tortilla chips in my opinion but the rest sounds nice

hobblesma · 20/09/2018 20:06

Absolutely not, it sounds disgusting to me. That doesn’t mean your DH won’t like it though. Do you not discuss what you are having for tea?

ThunderInMyHeart · 20/09/2018 20:07

The Doritos idea is A Thing.

As long as it’s got a crunchy top layer, you’re golden!

Maelstrop · 20/09/2018 20:07

Sounds lovely. Tortilla chips give a nice crunch.

MrsGarethSouthgate · 20/09/2018 20:08

Is there no sauce? Cheese/tomato or otherwise?

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 20/09/2018 20:10

Potato Gratin has a sauce doesn’t it?

I’d eat that OP!
An ex of mine used to make macaroni cheese with jalapeños in and hot Doritos crunched up on top...it is epic!

mrsdgrohl · 20/09/2018 20:12

Mixed reviews... we'll see how it goes down GrinBlush

But you have potatoes on top of potatoes don’t you?

Singlebutmarried · 20/09/2018 20:15

I’ve just put chips and hash browns in the oven.

Go me.

GuntyMcGee · 20/09/2018 20:18

I'd totally eat that?

I'd name it Garlic and herb chicken gratin and pretend it came out of a posh cook book

peppersprayfirstapologiselater · 20/09/2018 20:18

Sounds good to me

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 20/09/2018 20:25

It will be fine OP but I'd want at least one green vegetable with it - broccoli or even a pile of rocket or something.

Celebelly · 20/09/2018 20:27

I'd eat the heck out of that.

CoughLaughFart · 20/09/2018 20:27

But you have potatoes on top of potatoes don’t you?

How?

TatianaLarina · 20/09/2018 20:29

I’d have chicken with potato gratin as separate dishes. And ditch the tortillas.

AdoraBell · 20/09/2018 20:30

I would definitely eat it, when will it be ready?

Lifeismorethanamerrygoround · 20/09/2018 20:30

Well this evening, my dc and I had omelettes with baked beans, salad, baked potatoes. Because the Tesco delivery didn't materialise. I would prefer what you had.

PinkHeart5914 · 20/09/2018 20:30

Ooooh sounds ok to me, I’d eat it 😃

YearOfYouRemember · 20/09/2018 20:31

It's food it's hot and not cooked by him. He'd be an idiot to complain.

ShannonRockallMalin · 20/09/2018 20:31

Sounds lovely! Whenever I make a pasta bake my son always requests crushed crisps and cheese on top!

onalongsabbatical · 20/09/2018 20:31

I bet it's delish! I'd eat it no problem.
