I got a back payment for pip, I was just wondering would getting this back payment effect my universal credit and housing benefit?

I was told at CAB that there is actually provision for this in that if a back payment puts you over the permitted savings threshold it doesnt count as is from the DWP

No it isn't counted. You can't be getting UC and HB, but Uc isn't affected.

Do you mean in terms of the disability premiums OP?

I think its separate because i'm in temporary accommodation. I was stressing because I got paid from my ex employer and they took it off my universal credit, so was scared they would take this payment into account, when im going to use it to cover my debts. thanks for the answers xx
