New username as I'm ranting on other social media and wouldn't be hard to ID me!
Last month bought a lovely new cooker. Do a lot of baking so needs to be accurate. Double oven.
The temperatures are WAY out. So we called an engineer. Turns out Hotpoint have their own gas temperatures that bare no relation to standardisation. Worse still, top and main ovens have different temperatures! (See pics) So every thing you cook you need to take the temperature in Celsius (ignoring the gas equivelent), take out the manual, decide if you're using top or main oven, then translate. Oh and it counts as correct if it's within 15 degrees.
Although the current temperature is well out of 15 degrees but never mind, we'll still count it as correct.
Good huh?
