I'm travelling with one child, so I want to be mindful of staying in places where he meets other kids, if poss.

The one place I can't get a grip on is Ubud. If you stayed there, or outside of Ubud, in a hotel where there were other kids, would love to hear frm you. Thanks so much

You would probably be better off asking in the trip advisor forum

Bali to Australians is like the Costa Del Sol for the British so I wouldn't wonder about not finding children particularly in the Aussie school holidays.

I've asked in the Trip ADvisor forum too.

Actually, only certain parts of Bali are like Costa de Sol to Aussies. There's lots of quieter areas

There's a lot of quieter places on the costa del Sol too.

I'm really not sure what your point is, Sashh?

Am sure it's just my reading of your remarks, but the comparison with Costa del Sol is a bit uncalled for. A bit snotty. Thanks, bye.

Ubud is not really the best part of Bali for meeting other kids.
I have been to Ubud with kids several times, but we have only spent 3-4 days there, then we moved on to Jimbaran Bay to much larger hotels with kids club, lots of pools, etc. They loved a few days of visiting temples, rice terraces, etc but not too much longer than that, when they're small
My recommendations would depend on time of year, age of child and (probably most importantly) budget

Blogsshogs1 · 19/09/2018 16:21

Thanks Margaret. We are only there 3 days. We also going to Jimbaran for the sun and sea! And Sanur. Also possibly Ahmed or Pemuteran Bay for the snorkelling.

July - he'll be 8 - budget - not top whack but not backpacker either. About £100-£120 a night? I'm booking now to get the early bird bargains!

Do you like Bali?

I'm not being snotty, it is a well known holiday destination for Australians. It's like asking for a hotel in a Spanish resort where there will be children.

That is what I meant, no more no less.

If anything you are the one being snotty thinking the Costa del Sol is in someway 'uncalled' for and by implication inferior.

Yes, that's very true Sashh. I apologise, unreservedly
