Why do I keep having friendships that never last?

I met this girl in uni few months ago. At first, I didn't want to be friends with her. But, then I forced myself to be friends with her. I have no clue why I did that.

3 -4 months ago, we started meeting up just to hang out. First outing, she paid half, I paid half.

After the second outing when we went to a free museum, she suggested getting something to eat. I thought okay and after we both ate and got the bill, she didn't even look at me and wanted me to pay. I did.

Then third outing, we went to visit a new town, I paid for everything- the taxi, the food, the boating trip. It cost me around 50£ that day for both of us. She didn't even offer to pay. Plus that day the way she talked to me seemed off, like she was angry with me or something. I got the feeling that because I spent money on things like this, she is jealous of me.

From that day, I lost my friendly feelings towards her.

Am I wrong in ending the friendship?

I am not rich by the way. I have got little savings money and also got a small part-time job now along with my studies.

Why would you want to be friends with someone like this?

@BumDisease I just feel sooo lonely...it is hard to find a decent human being these days who wants to be my friend.

You are worth more than bad friends. I'd rather have no friends than shitty ones.
