Son slagging me off and lying about me

Have posted before about DS (almost 18). He's managed to find a week's work working with a bloke we know.
Both DH and I work.
So in the fridge I have beef, cheese and chicken for Sandwiches, eggs, tuna, prawn salads, chicken salads etc etc - DH and I manage to find ourselves lunches to take to work no problem.
As DS is working for one week Hmm he has asked me to buy protein shakes, doritos, protein bars, fridge raiders etc etc. He's not a lad who looks after his health, he's usually high on MDMA/acid/speed and doesn't eat properly for days (a whole other thread).
I bought protein bars but the shop was cancelled (by then, not me) so they didn't arrive yesterday. DS asked me for some money to go to shop and I said there was plenty in (DH and I manage!).
Anyway he left his Facebook logged in and I looked (yes I snoop on him, you would too if you knew what he puts us through) and he basically messaged all his mates last night begging for money saying I couldn't be arsed to get any food in and was making him take bread and butter to work. A complete fucking lie. He even messaged his dad and my older son with the same message. I'm fucking raging.

Well even if they believed him he's almost 18 so surely he can earn money for himself to buy food. YANBU. What are his plans beyond this week?

Yanbu to be upset.

Yabu to be surprised. Drug user tells lies to get money of friends and family. Not surprising at all.

He's a teenager. Of course he lies. My Son make a a speciality of being hungry. Tells his dad he hasn't eaten in two days. Always 2 days for some reason. Never bothers to mention that the fridge is full and if he just walked down the stairs and made it himself he could have whatever likes.
Concentrate on the positives. He has got off his arse and done some work. He is going to milk it for all it's worth because he thinks he is the only person in the history of mankind to have ever got a job. I think he might be actually be wanting applause from you. Annoying but at least he is tryng.

Time for him to find his own place to live perhaps?

BettysClock · 18/09/2018 12:51

Does he like the food you've bought?

Clandestino · 18/09/2018 12:55

He's almost 18. He can make his own sandwiches from what is in the fridge so he's clearly just trying to get some money for drugs.
He started working so maybe it's time to find his own place where he can eat and do whatever he likes?
