Living in the same area as him

Does anyone here live in the same area as their ex and their dp? They've just moved in 10 mins from me, and I don't know how I feel about it. A bit awkward I have to admit

Yep, in fact 2 of my exes lived in the suburb DH and I lived in until fairly recently. It was uncomfortable and I hated the thought that I could bump into them at any time like going to the shops in my daggy trackies. But neither of them were in relationships at the time - not sure if that makes it better or worse tbh!

Creeper8 · 17/09/2018 14:47

Nope but then ive never dated “local” men for this reason.

Juststopit · 17/09/2018 14:48

My ex has chosen to just move close to me. Wanky stalker like behaviour.

JacquesHammer · 17/09/2018 14:55

Yes we live about 5 minutes apart. I'm single and he lives with his wife.

We split very amicably though so no issues.

back2workback2reality · 17/09/2018 15:17

Yes. But in the last few years I would have hated to see him unexpectedly I never have. Not even once. And we live VERY close.

I don't fear it anymore as it just hasn't happened although the odds were highly stacked that I would have!

MulticolourMophead · 18/09/2018 09:11

I live close, about 5 mins. And it wasn't a good split.

But I've consciously changed my routines and haven't seen ex for ages.

MissyBear2519 · 18/09/2018 18:34

My ex lives less than 150m from my house and I can actually see his house from mine. I hate it! He can see if my car is there, if my curtains are open or closed. I’m hoping he will move soon
