To ask how much your accountants charge?

Posting for traffic, dh needs self assessment and we need help with capital gains and rental tax.

Was quoted £150+vat per HOUR Shock is this the normal going rate?

We live in Hertfordshire and are new to all this, any advice much appreciated

We see him yearly. Private landlords and OH self employed. Earnings quite low. £250 a time. So basically £250 a year.
How messy are you finances?

We charge £60 per hour+vat (south east).

Wow that’s a huge difference!

I work pt as PAYE , dh is self employed sub contractor, his always had an accountant but unfortunately she passed away last year and I’m taken aback at the cost!
We have 1 buy to let flat and currently renting ourselves.

Personally I’d look for an accountant who’ll give you a fixed price rather than hourly rate.

£92 monthly including VAT; the service includes software, all business accounts and taxes plus annual personal accounts. Insurance is separate, though they have a package with it included. £5 extra per employee PAYE. Is your flat under a separate limited company or just to be taken into account for tax purposes? The former would usually be chargeable separately.

Mine charges £80 per month and then occasional one off charges for filing my personal stuff I don't have time for.
