Did you see it? " women everywhere are switching to cillit bang" -(or something to that effect)- is that not really insulting? is it unheard of for a man to clean or something? God it really annoys me!! (or should I get out more?

you should get out more

BishyBarneyBee · 09/06/2007 21:25

I can never concerntrate on the advert as I am puzzled by the most bizarrely named product in the world

"bang and the dirt is gone" bang what?

AngharadGoldenhand · 09/06/2007 21:28

I always turn the sound off on that ad cos he's so LOUD.

poppy34 · 09/06/2007 21:34

It goes in the list of stuff I actively avoid buying as it is so annoying

NikkiBFG · 09/06/2007 21:43

When it first came out I thought it was Clit Bang.....

NineUnlikelyTales · 09/06/2007 21:46

at Clit Bang. Maybe that's why so many women are using it.

I agree with you poppy34, and I have a list of products to avoid because the adverts are so annoying. A mental list, not a written out one, I hasten to add.

The advert is sexist but I am so used to sexist adverts that I tuned it out.

BarbieLovesKen · 09/06/2007 21:48

kittylette · 09/06/2007 22:11

poppy34 · 09/06/2007 22:14

BarbieLovesKen · 09/06/2007 22:15

kittylette · 09/06/2007 22:16

damn, you really are missing out - lol

NineUnlikelyTales · 09/06/2007 23:43

poppy34 Herbal Essences I could not agree more with. My personal demon is that "Quote Me Happy" one (I have blanked the company name) - I change channels when I see it coming.

sparklygothkat · 09/06/2007 23:48

Misdee will vouch for me on this! One day we were in the supermarket together, and I shouted across the ailse to her 'whats this CLIT bang like then??' All the old people turned and stared at me, while Misdee was wetting herself laughing

youpeskykids · 09/06/2007 23:58

That is SO funny...

3littlefrogs · 10/06/2007 13:29

Cillit bang is horrible stuff - I tried it and it took the surface off my new loo seat. It must be neat acid or something. God knows what it does to the environment. Never again.

TinyGang · 10/06/2007 13:37

I like the fact that there are 'copies' out there too. I've seen a 'Sonic Boom' and a Kaboom! (which may be something to do with household cleaning products/bomb making chemicals)

I'm coming round to 'ol Barry Scott though - what a thing to get your 15 minutes of fame for

allgonebellyup · 10/06/2007 16:39

yes why does he have to SHOUT in the advert?

Also WHY is it directed at women?
Do we have nothing better to do than worry about cleaning a Fooking house?
ive got a lovely keyring that states "Dull women have immacculate homes". its true!!

BARRIESCOTT · 10/06/2007 17:00

HI LADIES, CHILL OUT AND KEEP YOUR PANTIES ON.

NO WAY AM I SEXIST

I'M BARRIE SCOTT!

TRIED TO BE BARRY SCOTT, BUT BANG! THAT NAME WAS ALREADY GONE!

BANG!

Furrymummy · 10/06/2007 17:13

So I guess you all get irritated at "That's why MUM'S gone to Iceland". I know I do...

GreebosWhiskers · 10/06/2007 17:14

lol I just watched the techno remix with 7mo ds on my knee - he was absolutely gobsmacked. I've probably warped him now.
