I was playing in the fallen leaves today with my 4yo and I found a big roll of weed wrapped in cling film. Those days well in my past so I chucked it in the bin.. I keep thinking about someone really needing that weed and I’ve thrown it away..AIBU

They cant have needed it that much given where you found it.

MissionItsPossible · 16/09/2018 21:57

Yes

sparkles212 · 16/09/2018 21:57

In fact who the hell cares, your 4yo could have found it which could have been a lot worse or a dog or something. Should have given it the police.

WineAndTiramisu · 16/09/2018 21:58

I doubt they'd know where they dropped it anyway!

DopeyDazy · 16/09/2018 22:01

prob being chased and dumped
sounds lot more than personal use

Chwaraeteg · 16/09/2018 22:02

Yabu. Yep.

I found an eighth if weed on the ground once at a carnival and had to leave it on the there because I was too pregnant to bend down and pick it up (I obviously wasn't smoking it at the time but know a lot of people who would have appreciated the freebee).

ASauvignonADay · 16/09/2018 22:07

Did it look like it'd been hidden? Or dropped?

Ethylred · 16/09/2018 22:12

Why would a 4 y/o finding it have been worse? Or a dog? What on earth would either one of them have done with it?

Deadbudgie · 16/09/2018 22:29

If a dog had eaten that it would probably have killed them. I hate the increasing use of cannabis in public, it’s proven to have really bad effects.police wouldn’t have done anything about it. At least it’s out of harms way

sparkles212 · 16/09/2018 22:29

The fact that you even need to ask 🙄

Ethylred · 16/09/2018 22:32

So you're suggesting that a dog would eat weed wrapped in cellophane.
Right, I'm off to try this on the pug.

HaroldsSocalledBluetits · 16/09/2018 22:33

I hate it too, deadbudgie. Mn seems to have a really weird attitude to it as well, in that people will blather on for ages about how antisocial it is to smoke fags outside pubs but anyone lighting up psychotropic substances that actually do have psychotropic effects on those around them, as opposed to just exposing people nearby to the smell of fag smoke momentarily, is absolutely fine and a bit of a laugh.

SerendipityFelix · 16/09/2018 22:34

If it was a significant amount police may have been interested, and certainly would have been the ideal way to ensure it was properly disposed of. But anyway it’s out of harm’s way now, could have been very serious if eaten by a dog as PP said. No one ‘needs’ it.

SerendipityFelix · 16/09/2018 22:36

So you're suggesting that a dog would eat weed wrapped in cellophane.

Yup, they do. I’ve seen it many times (vet working in London).

sparkles212 · 16/09/2018 22:40

I'm not convinced Ethylred has a dog tbh if she thinks they aren't capable of chewing through anything. As for the 4yo finding it not being worse either.... yes I'm really looking forward to the day my child turns 4 and picks up a wad of drugs in the park. What's the worst that could happen? Ffs.

Inkstainedmags · 16/09/2018 22:58

To PPs fretting over what if the 4 year old or a dog had found it, I'd be more concerned about having a 4 year old who would eat plant matter they found wrapped in cling film in the park. In any case, raw cannabis would be harmless to consume as the ingredient which gets you high doesn't form until cannabis is exposed to heat.
