to ask for childrens entertainment ideas for our wedding?

Just that really. Most of my friends and family have children.
There will be about 30 kids there so need entertainment. Ages 2-10 (mainly 4)
We don't want a kids disco which most entertainment packages in my city seem to provide. Venue is too small for soft play equipment.
Has anyone done something similar that was well received?

We had a Bouncy castle... What did go down well was colouring books, quick games snakes and ladders/drafts twister and giant Jenga

Small bouncy castle if there’s room...? Or some of those giant board games you can hire - giant Jenga/ Connect 4 etc. I went to a wedding where they’d made each kid up a little bag with some crafty bits, bubbles and a couple of small toys to keep them entertained.

One wedding that I went to have everyone a Lego or Duplo polybag as a wedding favour. That kept the children (and adults) busy at the wedding breakfast.

One activity is to put them by pairs and get them to dress each other in wedding dresses made with loo roll - a fashion show.

Don’t know if that’s clear - I can elaborate if need be!

I was at a wedding recently where they had a small separate space for the kids which had penny sweets, colouring books and crayons/pencils, a few games. There was an adult supervising throughout the day and seemed to keep them happy as they could come and go.

lots of balloons.... kids love to just run through loads of balloons.

we had favours for the children which were their names made from crayons and a colouring book/stickers for when they were sat at the table. we also had little bottles of bubbles.

Is there any outside space?

used to work at a wedding venue and the best one was one that set up a projector and got their wii and lots of games, they also had football's and little balls and bats outside as well as a small bouncy castle.

Plus big box of Lego and children were invited to bring toys from home too.

Was the best kid friendly wedding we saw

A magician! Went to a wedding a few weeks ago and everyone (adults and children!) loved it! He did table tricks but we ended up all following him round to watch 😂🙈

Think it is lovely you have asked this. Have a great wedding

My Dad is regularly booked to provide a children's magic show, balloon models and a face painter for weddings, mainly as entertainment during the speeches and first dance in an adjoring room.

He does have to remind people sometimes they are not child supervisors so there does need to be adults there to supervise the children so something else to be aware of when looking for entertainment.
