I don't know where that rumour comes from. I've seen him interviewed with his wife and they seem v happy together. I think it's just hard for people to believe a Hollywood romance can last.

There's a bit in Eddie the Eagle where he pretends he's fucking Bo Derek to encourage the ever delightful boyishly charming Taron Egerton to achieve his dreams and thus fulfil the destiny of the mentor/younger man homoerotic subplot that's been nicely simmering away between them. Gets me every time.

I think the rumours weren’t helped by his long-term “business relationship” with John Palermo where they lived on the same property and wore versions of the same type of ring. iDK if John Palermo’s sexuality is officially known but he’s always described as “flamboyant”.
