I can find someone on Instagram, but then have no idea how to look at what they’ve posted or anything.

Am I now officially a Luddite?

If you find someone and click on their profile it should bring up a screen with all their posts. If that's not happening its possible they have a private account and you need to request access to follow them.

If you follow someone you'll see their posts in your timeline.

If you find someone on instagram you click on their name and their profile will come up with all their pics (if they’re public that is. But if they’re private you need to request to follow them before you can see anything). If you want to see one of their pics and the underneath text you can just click on the pic you want to see.

Once you start liking photos (double click on the photo itself by touching it) your main feed will fill with images instagram thinks you might like.. it just guesses judging by other things you’ve liked. If something comes up you don’t want to see open it (you touch the pic) and there’s 3 little dots / lines on top right, click on this and a menu appears and you can select see less - the image will then be blocked and less stuff like that will appear.

That’s the basics anyway!
