What are STATS?

My DD is just starting year 2 and the playground is buzzing with parents planning to help their child prepare for their STATS in the summer.

I have no clue what STATS are and even a quick google left me confused!

AIBU to ask for what you wish you’d known before the STATS to best help my DD?

Or any good websites that can explain it to me would be great.

Try googling SATs - they're the tests that year 2 & year 6 do, at the end of key stage 1 and 2 (I think) respectively.

Children take SATS in year 2 do you think that's what they mean ?
