Morris and Co and William Morris. Can someone please explain it to me?

William Morris is the man behind the firm Morris and Co.

Morris & Co is a company, whereas William Morris is a person?

OK. So are the William Morris designs different from the Morris and Co designs or are they the same designs but branded differently? Currently looking at reusable coffee cups and fell down a shopping rabbit hole.

Morris and co was William Morris’s company that he did the designs for. It was dissolved at some point. The Morris and co of today is using his designs to make furnishings, reusable cups etc.
