To ask how long will I feel...

Broody after having a baby?!

I have a gorgeous wee girl aged 9 months, but I keep getting broody feelings and desperately wanting to be pregnant again! This started very soon after giving birth, (which was fairly traumatic, you’d have thought that in itself would have put me off, but no!)

It wouldn’t be a good time for me to get pregnant again, I’ve just started a job from home 2 months ago, and my clients wouldn’t be pleased if I told them I’d be off on maternity again! Plus we have no money saved up
for another baby. Otherwise I’d jump at the chance to try again.

So I was wondering how long these feelings will last for?!

I'm not sure they'll go until you have another one. Unless cute baby turns into a demon toddler of course Wink

My youngest is 10 weeks and I've been a bit broody ever since he was born. I think that's because I know he's my last though

Been broody for the last 20 years, had 4 children and still get broody!

It'll be different for everyone, just hang in there until you and your dp are happy to go for another.

I've got four kids, youngest is under one. I felt broody for more babies after the first three, but after the fourth and being sterilised I am no longer broody as I know I'm done. I used to see women with newborn babies and wish it was me, but I don't get that feeling anymore. I'm glad it won't be me again.
