To do my garden at 7pm?

I desperately need to strim the patch of grass on my front garden. It’s a small private terrace with no young families and it will take around 5 to 10 mins max. Don’t finish work til gone 6 every day this week and have no one to do it for me. Thought I’d ask AIBU before I get shouted at by neighbours for breaking some unknown ruleGrin

Crack on.

My limit for noisy gardening is 8pm, and never had a comment.

whifflesqueak · 13/09/2018 09:45

Of course that’s fine.

FormerlyFrikadela01 · 13/09/2018 09:46

Presumably you don't work every single day so just do it on your day off.

Creeper8 · 13/09/2018 09:46

wouldnt bother me.

FormerlyFrikadela01 · 13/09/2018 09:47

Although just to add I don't think 7 is too late so it wouldn't bother me at all

MrsJayy · 13/09/2018 09:47

7pm is early evening isn't it crack on andcut your grass ☺

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 13/09/2018 09:53

My cut off would be 9. 7 is fine!

LoveMyLittleSuperhero · 13/09/2018 09:54

I have a toddler who would be disturbed by strimmer noise. It's fine at 7.

poseyfiles · 13/09/2018 09:55

Sunset is at 7:30 anyway so it'll be done before it goes dark. I’m working every day at the minute as I’ve got two businesses on the go, it’s crazy work. I would just hire a gardener but my strimmer was fairly expensive so don’t want to waste it! I just know some people won’t like it because it can be really loud if they’re trying to unwind from their day. Thank you for your thoughts!Smile

YANBU. I do often about 6 or 7pm. Unless you take 2 hours, you are fine. Mine takes about 15 min and no one has an issue, because why would they

MollysMummy2010 · 13/09/2018 20:59

I had a moan on here recently about a leaf blower at 9pm - strimming at 7pm I probably wouldn't even register. It's evening, go for it.
