Hi all,

Just wanted to update you with what happened at work.

I was re suspended with pay until Wednesday and was very lucky to get a final warning because I showed how sorry I was, had a clean ten year record, they didn’t demote me and the higher ups pushed for me not to get sacked.

Worst 5 days ever and I will definitely learn from this. Just wanted to say thank you for your support on here. Was I being unreasonable? Definitely!

Glad the outcome wasn’t you getting sacked. It was clearly a bad judgement of error on your behalf, and possibly a training issue for management to look at.

Big bottle of wine for you at the weekend.

Singlenotsingle · 13/09/2018 07:54

Congratulations, that must be a great relief.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 13/09/2018 07:57

I don't remember your original thread.
However I'm delighted that things have turned out okay for you. I can't imagine what a worrying time that must have been for you. I bet your poor stomach has been
in knots.

ShrodingersSturdyPyjamas · 13/09/2018 07:59

I'm glad the saw sense.

Flowers.

Now give yourself permission to look after yourself after all this.

Dontknowwhattodo23 · 13/09/2018 08:02

I know I was so lucky and it could have went either way. I’ve got a second chance now so I’m definitely not going to blow it.

You all kept me sane when I needed sanity, can’t thank you all enough.

Hi. I tried to do a search to read first thread, but can’t seem to find it. Any chance of a link?

OP, glad to know that whatever happened, it’s resolved. Not knowing what happened, just asking though - how is relationship with your boss following this? Will the working relationship survive? If it was not your boss who brought the proceedings, as regards the person who did, what is relationship with that person and will you need to deal with them? Do they feel slighted for bringing issue to attention/proceedings and no firing? I’d, will they have bad feelings about you at work? Just some things to consider and if so, might it be good idea to find another job. (“They” day it’s rasier to find a job when you’re in a job)

Sorry. Phone changes spelling randomly on some words. Wish there were an edit button

wowfudge · 13/09/2018 08:08

That's good to hear OP and a fair outcome. Take a deep breath and relax.

Emma765 · 13/09/2018 08:09

Can you link to the first thread, please?

Namechangeforthiscancershit · 13/09/2018 16:37

Phew. So relieved for you. Onwards and upwards.

It sounds like you have people who value you and fought your corner so finding that out is a tiny little glimmer of positivity in this whole mess!
