baby carrier and sleep

I'm going to try and carry my 5 month old front facing in a baby bjorn. Can baby sleep when being carried facing out?
Tbh he doesn't really like it facing me so hoping this will help.

I would imagine his head would flop forward if he falls asleep so I wouldn't say it's the best idea. It says on their site that it's fine to carry forward from 5 months on, but to watch out for signs of sleepiness- presumably to turn them around (I think!)

Sleeping front facing isn't recommended. Are you confident with TICKS for safe baby wearing?

I wouldn’t have thought front facing would be comfortable for sleep, particularly for their necks. But then I never think front facing looks comfortable anyway.

I wouldn’t allow a baby to fall asleep forward facing in a carrier or sling. When my first born was little my husband and I were doing some chores around the house and he was wearing him forward facing in a stretchy wrap, he fell asleep and my husband didn’t realise this wasn’t a good idea. When I looked at him he was going purpley. Thankfully he was absolutely fine and more upset because I snatched him out of the sling in a fright than anything else but ever since that experience he was never carried forward facing again as we were left traumatised by the experience.
