I hate it when they do that.

NAB3 · 08/06/2007 17:41

This really bugs me. Especially when I have packed everything and are waiting for it.

kickassangel · 08/06/2007 21:17

I'd be horrified - they can buy their own! The cost of your shopping includes the cost of their salary, not free time for them to have a quick read of YOUR magazine.
Go ahead, be annoyed!

CristinaTheAstonishing · 08/06/2007 21:27

Maybe she was being friendly, did she comment on anything? I guess she can have a free peek at the magazines any time she wants.

FrannyandZooey · 08/06/2007 21:28

LOLOL
that is a bit shit isn't it?

I did a shop in Sainsburys the other week, and the woman on the till picked up like about half a dozen things and said 'oooh they look nice' at my strawberries and 'hmmm didn't know we sold that' at my organic balsamic vinegar and 'well, you've got a bargain there haven't you' (a pointed comment directly aimed at my rather anal habit of only buying stuff (usually) that is either reduced or BOGOF) and 'Aren't you a bit old to be reading this HAHAHA' at my Harry Potter book that I bought so I could catch up before the film comes out.

It ended up taking me 5 minutes longer and irritated the hell out of me, if I wanted her opinion I'd ask for it!

Fecking shut up, and just scan my bloody shopping will you?

No, YANBU
