Anyone else have this with utilita?! I topped up my gas 1 hour ago and it still hasnt come on. This is the norm and it tends to take atleast an hour or more to come on after topping up. Aibu in thinking this is a long time. Electric is always instant!

Thought it would be easier having a smart metre but not when it takes this long to come back on

Electricity is instant because it is the electric smart meter that is directly connected to the network. The gas meter connects to the network via the electricity meter so that's why it takes longer and why you can't have a gas smart meter without elec.

You should have a code on your receipt you can type in if it doesn't come through automatically.
