I know this isn't an AIBU - or maybe it is because AIBU to think nursery staff should encourage students to wear aprons while doing crafts but anyway

How the HELL do I get dried PVA glue out of pinafores? It's the third day she's been back to nursery (went back last Thursday) and two of her brand new pinafores are covers in glue. They have been washed 3 times and scrubbed but nothing is working.
Think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and replace them but they're brand new!

So please wise mumsnetters, help a mother out what can I do?!

Simplest way is not to send them to nursery in nice stuff! I made same mistake ... better for them
to have fun & get a bit mucky in clothes you’re not too bothered about!

Advance search me op or go to chat and look for a thread starting 'best stain remover- I could weep over ds's uniform'. I started a thread about stains on my ds's school uniform on sunday(no idea how to do clicky links!)and have got some great advice and recommendations.

PVA is water-based so leave the clothes in cold water, preferably overnight, and wash as usual. Warm/hot water will set the glue.

Something from memory is telling me to lay kitchen roll over the glue and iron it to melt the glue then wash off....

I have a friend who swears fairy liquid is the best stain remover for just about every stain.
