To ask what this pain could be? (Possible TMI!)

Sorry if this is TMI for a Monday morning but I’m not sure what to do here...

Woke up this morning with an INCREDIBLY sore clitoris, like a sharp pain Blush I’ve had thrush recently which my GP prescribed treatment for, but now I’m wondering if it’s something else. I’ve checked for a rogue hair that may have become lodged under the hood but there’s nothing there, it’s just bloody sore. Booked an appointment with GP but that’s 2 weeks away. Has anyone ever had this? It’s really painful to even walk, and I’ve got small DC’s to look after today which is going to be difficult. Sad

Again, sorry for the subject but I have no idea what this could be!

Could it possibly be the beginning of a Bartholin's cyst? I've never had one so not sure, but i know they affect that area. Alternatively, could it be irritation from (sorry) too much/vigorous frigging?

Take some ibuprofen and wear comfy pants or go commando and see if that helps. If there's nothing visibly wrong with it not sure how the GP would be able to help today, but if pain persists tomorrow, esp. if it worsens and ibuprofen doesn't help, then perhaps make an appointment then

Definitely not too much vigorous activity! I’ve been avoiding anything like that recently due to the thrush being uncomfortable. I don’t know what I expecty GP to do but not sure where else to go!

I have had this from thrush. Get some cream to put on it.

Theonlywayisscotland · 10/09/2018 09:35

@Notcontent Just the standard OTC thrush cream? I will literally do anything to make this go away it’s so uncomfortable Sad

Could it be a tiny clear hair? Go in the bath and then pull it back and see if it helps.

Notcontent · 10/09/2018 09:52

Yes, if I remember correctly it was just the standard thrush cream.

Yep. Shortly after giving birth to ds, it was incredibly tender. I think it was possibly a result of the stretching/bruising from giving birth, possibly a burst blood vessel? It took some weeks heal.

Hi, I know this is an old thread but did you ever get to the bottom of this? Assume it sorted itself out! Was the clitoral pain just thrush related? I am experiencing the same and have had pain in that area for the last 2 days which isn’t relenting! Have just treated myself for thrush.
