To think Boris isn’t fit to be PM

So he’s described the Brexit proposal as a ‘suicide vest’, has made islamaphobic remarks, lies about the 350 million for the NHS, is a serial cheater and generally a buffoon. He’s an international embarrassment who is only interested in his own career and not the best interests of any else. He’s a manipulative, privileged man child and He’s not fit to be PM.
Aibu?

No yanbu

Unfortunately this was obvious years ago and the fact the he is still even an option shows how low politics has gone.

And Chuka stop winging and start fighting for your constituents who have nothing and are going to get even less . .

AnnieAnoniMoose · 09/09/2018 15:35

YANBU

He’s definitely not. He’s not fit to do anything that involves speaking, to anyone, anywhere, ever.

Boris as PM...it does not bear thinking about.

TheLionRoars1110 · 09/09/2018 15:35

Yanbu! He's a disgrace and it's awful that he's even an option.

SpottingTheZebras · 09/09/2018 15:37

YANBU but then, I would (and still do) say the same about Donald Trump not being fit to be POTUS and look at what has happened there!

BarbarianMum · 09/09/2018 15:43

I'm still waiting with interest for his plans for Brexit. Same with Jacob RM.

Nikephorus · 09/09/2018 15:44

YANBU.

KC225 · 09/09/2018 15:45

But he's not though is he. He doesn't have to fit to be a PM. He is NOT PM.

NewYearNewMe18 · 09/09/2018 15:46

The electorate decide if he is fit to be PM , IF indeed his own party elect him.

Racecardriver · 09/09/2018 15:49

Well it is better than openly sympathising with terrorists. Given the general calibre of British politicians at the moment he almost looks good. Personally I think he is an idiot and not even remotely PM material but I would choose him over many MPs sitting in Parliament at the moment on both sides.

This is the problem - very few of our MPs actually are fit to be PM so it means those who should be laughed at for even considering it, instead become genuine contenders because of the (lack of) competition.

dangermouseisace · 09/09/2018 15:52

YANBU.

The “buffoonery” is an act, and it lets him get away with being openly racist, sexist, dishonest etc.

He knows what he is doing, and he disgusts me.

PeaceRaven · 09/09/2018 15:55

I find it amusing how many genuinely think the man is stupid, everything he does is calculated. From poems about goats and foreign leaders to criticising frankly ridiculous Islamic headwear.

Plus let’s be honest, he’d still be a better option than JC.

BarbarianMum · 09/09/2018 16:08

Why is he a better option than JC? Its not a great choice either way but I dont see why BJ is de facto a better choice or why a strategically shaved monkey wouldn't be preferable to either.

Arealmanithink · 09/09/2018 16:11

Boris=Trump.. You get what you pay for.

LunaLovegoodsRadishes · 09/09/2018 16:19

Yanbu. But at the moment I wouldn't vote any Tories in. They are ballsing up Brexit and generally making our country a shitshow.

I can't vote for JC and his revolutionary socialist mob in either. As for LibDems, I'm a brexiteer so they are not in the picture either.

YouTheCat · 09/09/2018 16:22

He's not a buffoon. Don't let the fool act get you. He is calculating as fuck. All he has ever wanted is to be PM and he will do anything to get there. He lies. He cheats. He schemes.

sanfranmarzipan · 09/09/2018 16:27

YANBU
Not a nice man at all, very self serving. I would never vote for him and I don't think he appeals to women on the whole.

Mumminmum · 09/09/2018 16:32

It would be an embarrasment for Britain if he became PM. It was bad enough when he was foreign minister.

Bluelady · 09/09/2018 16:34

He's a vile creature. Unfortunately there are no grown ups anywhere on the political scene right now. I reckon we're fucked for at least the next ten years.

RhythmStix · 09/09/2018 16:42

Yep we are shafted for a long time. There are no decent would be leaders out there as far as I can see.

Boris J is a completely self interested calculating arsehole. He is sexist, racist and cares only about his own success. He is corrupt IMO - can someone ask him to account for the £40 million plus which mysteriously 'vanished' under HIS watch as Mayor when he gave the Garden Bridge project to his business mates? The fact that he has still not been held to account for that is utterly outrageous IMO.

Eddie Mair had it in one. He truly is a nasty piece of work and a serial liar.

ForalltheSaints · 09/09/2018 17:13

Why has it taken you so long to realise this? It was evident when he was London Mayor (see comments above as examples).

I would argue for the exercise of the Royal Prerogative or even the military taking over as preference to Boris being Prime Minister.

BonnieF · 09/09/2018 17:38

Of course he isn’t fit to be PM. He never was, and everybody who takes an interest in politics has always known it.

It was only a matter of time before his cupboard full of skeletons was exposed.

He’s a lazy upper class chancer, who is only interested in his own obsession with becoming PM, and he has botched every job he has ever had. The FCO were delighted to get rid of him.

Rebecca36 · 09/09/2018 17:44

You're not unreasonable, he's a buffoon and an embarrassment. No wonder he is friendly with Trump, two peas in a pod.

Lottapianos · 09/09/2018 17:47

'Eddie Mair had it in one. He truly is a nasty piece of work and a serial liar.'

Spot on, as always with Eddie

Johnson is a total disgrace. His behaviour is absolutely indefensible. I agree with others that there is slim pickings in general for PM but he's beyond the pale as far as I'm concerned

Lottapianos · 09/09/2018 17:48

And yes, he's our version of Trump. Both equally disgusting
