About disappointment in getting to know idol/mentor

Someone at work is assigned to mentor each junior person - I've had the same one for years and she's been fine, helps me with assignments etc. I really admire her, she's so successful, knowledgeable, really dry wit. There's a bit of a seniority divide and we tend to socialise with people the same level as us so we haven't got to know each other on a personal level.

Recently they've been trying to encourage more integration between staff levels and we have been to team building events - through these we have been hanging out more.

I'm starting to realise I just hate some of her traits!
E.g. She's quite a snob, doesn't make any effort to remember any juniors names, extremely penny pinching despite being wealthy++, does extra work frequently so she doesn't have to spend time with her family/children!

AIBU to be so disappointed?
I really idolised her for years and now I think she's a bit of a twat!
