Anybody live in,or know Swindon at all?

I'm trying to find out how far the bus/coach station is from the actual town centre,or to be more precise,the Thistle Express hotel,in Fleming Way. I'm staying there in November as I'm going to a local event. I'm getting the coach,but I can't work out from the map how far the bus/coach station is from the hotel,whether it's within walking distance,if there's a bus that goes near it,or whether I will have to get a cab. I have mobility issues so cannot walk long distances (about quarter of a mile is my limit!). Any advice would be appreciated.

It's close- maybe a 5 minute walk, no more than 10 even if you're a slow walker. There shouldn't be any steps, maybe a couple of ramps to go under the main road by Debenhams.

If you go onto google maps and put in 'Thistle Express Swindon', then select 'directions' and put Swindon Bus Station in as the other destination, it'll show you.

Much faster to walk than drive, as it's all one way systems around that area.

Thanks summer. That's put my mind at rest. I hate arriving in a new,unknown place and not having a clue how to get somewhere!

I work next to the bus station. This is a very easy 5 mins walk, with just a gentle ramp down to the underpass next to Debenhams.
