To want jeans that are both comfy and flattering?

Just that really! I want jeans I can sit down in and breathe yet don't make my wobbly cake thighs look even wobblier!

Please share with me your favourite shops for the best jeans for ladies over 30 :)

Not Your Daughters jeans. Lots on EBay. Watch out for the American sizing - a 2 is roughly UK 8/10 and you can normally buy a size smaller than you expect. 4 is 10/12 and so on. Get a cheap pair off EBay to check sizing and then you'll know. They are absolutely brilliant, don't gap at the waistband and some have a "tummy control" feature.

I did that, bought a cheap ebay pair of NYDJ. They did come up short on me, but are definitely comfy!

KarmaStar · 07/09/2018 18:01

Have been told Sainsbury's TU stretchy jeans are very comfortable, wash well and look good.

WhyDoesItAlways · 07/09/2018 18:13

Gap do a soft denim jean which I recently got in a girlfriend cut. They are definitely the most comfortable jeans I have ever owned. I'm a hobbible apple shape and struggle with getting comfy jeans that are big enough in the waist without being too big in the bum but these work well.

Not heard of not your daughter's jeans but they sound like my kind of jean so will look out for them.

MustShowDH · 07/09/2018 18:21

Evans 'pear shape' are the only ones I can find that don't gape at the back.
I'm 42 and not at all fashionable though!
Watching thread for ideas.

Next lift slim and shape.

MeteorGarden · 07/09/2018 18:27

Ok so hear me out here....New Look!

Until this summer I had religiously bought jeans only from next ‘lift slim and shape’ soft material, super stretchy and very little wobble.

This year I just couldn’t find the right pair in next but stumbled accross the new look lift slim and shape. I don’t shop in new look but trust me these jeans are really good.

I’ve worn them to work most days this week (bought two pairs) and they’re very comfy and flattering. They’re also high Ish waisted and come in different leg lengths.

£25.99 each

abigailsnan · 07/09/2018 18:33

NYDJs are the best fit I have ever had I always wait until I go to the US to buy them in the sales outlets,I have had some pairs for about 8yrs now.
Tu for everyday comfort they wash and wear well I buy them when 25% off and use up nector points at Sainsburys for a good deal.

WhyDoesItAlways · 07/09/2018 19:28

I got a bit turned off with new look as all I could find was skinny or ripped jeans in there. May give them another look too.

Treacletoots · 07/09/2018 20:00

Thanks ladies. Off I pop to eBay then!!!

I’ve read really good things about the M&S £15 jeggings. I haven’t tried them though.

UnderHisEyeAndUpYourArse · 07/09/2018 20:03

Another vote for new look - high waist super skinny. I am a size 16 (being kind to myself there actually) and they are comfy, look good and I feel great in them!

rookiemere · 07/09/2018 20:22

I like Mint Velvet skinny jeans. Sadly my favourite pair have just developed inner thigh split Sad

littlepeas · 07/09/2018 20:25

Monsoon high waisted jeggings and jeans.

Babysharkdoodoodoodoodoodoodoo · 07/09/2018 20:27

M&S skinny jeans - surprisingly flattering as they are quite stretchy! Bit of vanity sizing (I am usually a 14, but buy a 12 in these), but a good cheap pair.

fussychica · 07/09/2018 20:30

I mainly wear M&S jeans and jeggings. I find them a good fit, well priced and long lasting. They are also available in the perfect leg length. As a shorty, well 5'4", I find many other brands way to long unless I pay a lot.

IgglePigglesAnnoyingGiggle · 07/09/2018 20:35

@rookiemere just spotted some chub rub wear and tear on my favourite jeans. Sob.

justilou1 · 07/09/2018 20:38

If you are tall, this probably won’t help, but I am 5’2 and a size 10-12. Uniqlo high-waisted cigarette jeans are the bomb! (Size 28) I don’t have to take them up, they don’t gap at the back, they don’t ride down and create an unwanted postbox. I love them!

Onynx · 07/09/2018 20:40

Next 360degree stretch! I'm very very Pear shaped but they come up high on the waist and don't make my legs look like over stuffed sausagesBlush

GorgonLondon · 07/09/2018 20:41

I love Warehouse skinny fit. They definitely use a bit of vanity sizing - I'm a size 6 in there but usually an 8/10. I'm tall-ish (5'7) and they are perfect length for me in both the waist and the leg.

Pinkyyy · 07/09/2018 21:06

Jeans are honestly worth splashing out a bit more on in my opinion because a good pair can last years, I love Guess jeans and find that they always fit and feel amazing and you can wash them over and over again and they still look new

MrsPinkCock · 07/09/2018 21:34

Try being 5’9 and needing a 36” leg. When I was skinny, jeans looked amazing. Now, not so much.
