Looking for new job while ttc

So I started a new job as a nursing assistant in a Special Care baby unit and I'm not enjoying it. It's not that I don't like the job, I just don't think I'm any good and have considered more than once about finding a new one.

I started in February so have been there around 6 months. We were hoping to ttc in/around October time. So is there a point in looking for/starting a new job? I know any maternity pay from this job would only be eligible if I planned to go back to this one for at least 3 months after having the baby and honestly it's a lot of work.

I'm just not sure what to do.
I'm not insanely unhappy at the minute but I have a feeling it will turn out that way but I'm only just settling in and the thought of starting a new job and being the newbie again isnt appealing

Any advice?

Stop thinking about getting pregnant. It may not happen for a very long time. If you need to find a new position, do it. It will all work out in the end anyway.

I delayed going for promotion because we’d just started ttc. Two years later, I still wasn’t pregnant.

A few things to consider OP I think. Do you have time on your side re TTC? If you fell pregnant early on in another role could you cope without the maternity pay? What job/role would you intend to get if you left this one-how long do you think finding this would take?

I am in a similar position so currently weighing up all of the above questions too. Wishing you luck.
