To ask what this mysterious wall creature is?

What am I dealing with here? Looks a bit like a nest.. could it be spiders? Full disclosure, I squished it with some loo roll and flushed it. Nothing streamed out (like baby creatures for instance), but I'm alarmed nonetheless.

It's the size of a small pea. And in our bedroom.

Ideas?

Oh and I'm in Sydney, and we're coming into spiders-in-the house season.

I should just pack up and ship off shouldn't I.

GET OUT OF THERE

CatRen27 · 07/09/2018 02:02

I've tried googling spider egg sacs but can't bear to look at the pictures of spiders, nor can I touch the screen to scroll down.. shudder...

LTB. Burn your house down.

justilou1 · 07/09/2018 06:04

Definitely looks like egg sacs of something. I would scrape it off the wall, put it in the sink and burn it.

Aftereights91 · 07/09/2018 06:30

Is that picture after you squished it or before?

captainpantbeard · 07/09/2018 06:39

You’ve killed the alien babies and now the mothership is coming for you.....better start running OP!

Monty27 · 07/09/2018 06:42

It's sticking it's tongue out at you. Run!

Biggreygoose · 07/09/2018 06:44

Baby sarlacc

CatRen27 · 07/09/2018 06:52

@aftereights it's before! The picture is the thing in tact. Bleugh

Ewwww no idea then. I googled Australian spider egg sacs and they don't look anything like that. Sounds daft could it be something like a geckos spawn? To they have spawn or fully formed younglings?

CatRen27 · 07/09/2018 07:06

Hrmm I like your thinking, but not sure about geckos. We don't really get geckos inside here in Sydney (I think maybe they're more up in the Queensland tropics?).

More ideas please.

Looks like a possible Brown Widow egg sac to me ?

CatRen27 · 09/09/2018 11:38

We found another one...

Don't think it's a brown widow sac, didn't look quite right.

Any bug scientists out there??

Lock the front door and never go back

Starstruck2020 · 09/09/2018 11:48

Initially I thought it could be some weird kind of fungus; but if you think it’s definitely an insect it looks a bit like the scale leaf bug you get on citrus trees... but how strange it would be in a house- is that even possible?

simplepimple · 09/09/2018 11:54

It's clearly a mutant alien sac ~ are there anymore?

Whatever you do don't squish it ~ that just spreads the spores! Shock

Rebecca36 · 09/09/2018 12:10

It's looks quite revolting and appears to be sticking its tongue out.

Scrape off, bag up and seal, put it in the rubbish immediately!

PrueDent · 09/09/2018 12:29

Oh no OP! That's not a sac! Your home is obviously on the border between this world and ...well, I daren't name it. That is a series of other beings seeping into pour world via your bedroom. They are Recon Beings. Their job is to see if that is a safe entry for the many who will follow. Their failure to return means many other Recon units will be dispatched within a 10 metre radius. They will also send Vengence Units to track the fate of those who went before and failed to return. Once they have ascertained that their kind have been squished with a modified piece of tree and sent into the sewers then seas of our world they will seek revenge on all who use sewers, or seas or any form of water...

Run!
