..... always on about 'how busy they are', working late etc, but boy do they faff about, and talk incessantly about shite.

Making me feel a bit ragey today ... feel like yelling 'Just shut the fuck up and go and do some work and you'll be able to go home at 5.30'.

I'm with you.

Even worse when it impacts on everyone else. I used to have a manager who would spend most of the day arsing about on the internet, chatting, wondering around the office, out at lunch etc. Then some time around 5 he'd sit at his desk and start looking at work that needed his attention. As he was so bad at time management everything he did was bang on deadline (or a little over) and he expected us all to be around at whatever time he wanted to actually do some work to deal with any questions/make any changes he thought were needed. If he'd just done his work from 9-5 we'd all have been away on time.
