To send a threatening text

The next building in our terrace is an unauthorised school (religious). The boys are often unsupervised in the backyard, overlooked by our house.
This evening they are amusing themselves by burning rubbish. WIBU to text the headteacher warning him I will call the fire brigade if this continues?
I’m pretty sure this would lead to all sorts of trouble for the school, and so far they have only burnt paper (think posters and newspapers), but the yard has stacks of timber covered in plastic sheeting and the building is adjacent to ours.
How threatening a text should I send?
I can’t call because he either won’t answer or will hang up once he realises I’m female.

Why are you not just reporting it as an unauthorized school to the council and Ofsted?

Tara336 · 05/09/2018 19:30

I saw there some sort of 101 number for the fire brigade? That could come out and give them a warning?

ThePinkOcelot · 05/09/2018 19:32

I think I would complain to the authorities about unauthorised school tbh and complaining to them about the setting fire also.

randomchap · 05/09/2018 19:33

Report to ofsted? If it's a school it needs to be inspected for the safety of the pupils.

bumbling · 05/09/2018 19:33

Don't bother sending a threatening text report it properly. I'm not sure what an unauthorized school is

Jozen · 05/09/2018 19:33

I wouldn't send a threatening text. I'd call the head and ask if he was aware the kids were burning rubbish and would he please address this matter?
No need for threats.

Smellyoulateralligator · 05/09/2018 19:36

I don’t know what an unauthorised school is either Confused

No need to be threatening. Either report or alert the Head (unauthorised?)

Who would you text? What do you mean unauthosed school :/ Hmm

Smellyoulateralligator · 05/09/2018 19:36

Unauthorised even 😁

LokiBear · 05/09/2018 19:36

Do you mean an independent school? Or a free school? Ofsted and or the non emergency police number are your best options. It is a safeguarding issue.

AskMeHow · 05/09/2018 19:38

To be honest, I would just call Ofsted. They're really cracking down on unregistered schools at the minute.

SpringSnow · 05/09/2018 19:40

An unauthorised school is exactly what it says on the tin. A premises acting as a "school" without being registered as such.teaching kids that are registered as home educated. Usually ran by religion hard liners.

Bluntness100 · 05/09/2018 19:43

Why is the fire what bothers you and not these kids in an unauthorised school?

Bloody report that.

Starlighter · 05/09/2018 19:44

I would call 101, the council and Ofsted! Sounds like a potentially dangerous and neglectful situation.

Bluntness100 · 05/09/2018 19:45

I think the proper name is unregistered school.
