I think if you pop, that's probably too many.

Whereisthecoffee · 05/09/2018 13:43

Still trying to work this out myself !

There's a maximum?

Lululemonade · 05/09/2018 13:54

I did a dumpling cooking course when I was living in Beijing and between our group of 5 we made about 80 and ate them all. The teacher was obviously a bit shocked by this!

In my defence I was pregnant and they were super yummy so I thought it would be rude to leave them Grin

SocksRock · 05/09/2018 14:00

I wasn’t aware of an upper limit... when they have to roll me out the door maybe?

Raglansleeve · 05/09/2018 14:05

Gone are the days in Sydney's Chinatown where if you ate more than $10 worth you felt like a snake that had swallowed a cow.......... but I reckon somewhere between 12 and 16. But then I'm greedy.

HotNatured · 05/09/2018 14:14

I can eat infinite amounts. I’d say easily 20-25

Singlebutmarried · 05/09/2018 14:15

I’ve eaten 12.

I’ve another 58 in the freezer.

Ooh frozen dim sum? Where are you getting this magic? I love dim sum,

There is no maximum amount.

Singlebutmarried · 05/09/2018 14:26

Huge bags in Costco and also local Asian supermarket.

Popped them in the pressure cooker for 3 mins then let the pressure release by it self.

Freezer to mouth in under 15 minutes.

NEVER ENOUGH is the answer... of course!!!

Firesuit · 05/09/2018 14:30

I can't eat that much, many items can be fairly oily, so it can be quite soon before you feel you can't take any more.

BitOutOfPractice · 05/09/2018 14:32

Too many? Sorry I don’t understand

Twartyvajitus · 05/09/2018 14:37

I love steamed dim sum!

CornishMaid1 · 05/09/2018 15:12

If you turn into Mr Creosote then you have eaten too many. Any number of to that point is acceptable, but if you are concerned I am happy to take them off your hands to help you out!

happysunr1se · 05/09/2018 16:31

If I go out for dim sum it's really difficult to judge how much I've eaten, but I normally eat way too much!

My family order lots and you get stuck in and more and more turn up as you go along.

I especially like crystal dumplings with prawn, spring onion and water chestnut. lai won bao, like eating fluffy clouds full of rich sweet eggy custard.
Har cheung (giant rice noodle wrapped around prawns with soy poured on top) and ming ha gok battered fish ball dipped in salad cream.

If I eat it from frozen at home for lunch i would have 6/8 siu mai (dipped in chilli ketchup), 1char siu bao and 1 lai won bao.
