Razors - AIBU?

Dh has just joined a gym - meaning that he shaves there. This is not a problem for me, however 15 YO dd who uses his (unused) razors is very angry atm. He has left them at the gym - she is going back to school tomorrow and needed to shave her legs. Now she is angry as she has to wear tights, and he didn't give her any razors when he bought the new pack (which he has left at the gym). He normally gives her about 3 new razors when he buys a pack and has been doing this for the past 4 years. Who is BU - dd for being angry at dh, or DH for not telling dd about the razors??

Perfect chance to buy DD a decent razor;

Evianliveyoung1 · 04/09/2018 21:43

Why not just buy DD her own razors?

BetterEatCheese · 04/09/2018 21:44

Think you all need to move on and get your dd some razors of her own. I don't think there is blame really, just a change in arrangements with unforeseen consequences. Easy to fix

CrispbuttyNo1 · 04/09/2018 21:44

Why can’t someone just go and buy another pack Confused

theworldistoosmall · 04/09/2018 21:45

Why not just buy razors for her?
And ugh shaving at the gym.

Bumdishcloths · 04/09/2018 21:45

You're all BU for getting your knickers in a twist. Buy her her own razors. Better still, invest in a safety razor for each of them.

MarthasGinYard · 04/09/2018 21:46

So she uses same kind to shave legs as he does for his face?

Get her her own pack

No issue

asdfghj123 · 04/09/2018 21:46

crisp - i will tomorrow when its not 9pm and ive just sat down Grin . just didn't like dh's not caring attitude about the whole situation tomorrow - he can be really selfish sometimes. however, same goes for dd, so wasn't sure who was bu Blush

As your DH knows that she also uses the razors and didn’t think to leave her one or tell her he was taking them then I see why she’s annoyed. Is it a reasonable temperature for tights where you are? If it’s hot then is there a corner shop open late or a 24 hour supermarket nearby that your DH can pop to and buy her some before school tomorrow? And get get DD her own supplies in future, or give her money to buy her own.

CrispbuttyNo1 · 04/09/2018 21:50

He’s a bloke, he probably doesn’t realise that to a teenager a mm of barely visible stubble on her legs is almost catastrophic.

Is there really not one single razor in your household that she could use?

Tofffeee · 04/09/2018 21:52
  1. It's grim to shave at the gym.
  2. i was going to say why can't she buy her own, but then I think you have to be either 16 or 18 to buy razors?
  3. On a side note, mens razors are much better in my opinion, and tend to be cheaper Hmm
DigsysDiner · 04/09/2018 21:57

It's a complete, none issue 🤷‍♀️

Stormzyandme · 04/09/2018 21:59

Why on earth does he shave at the gym Grin

InspectorIkmen · 04/09/2018 21:59

Dh has just joined a gym - meaning that he shaves there

This doesn’t even make sense.

Your DD is being a drama llama, your DH is being a knob and you don’t seem to mind either of those things.

CurtainARama · 04/09/2018 22:01

Does she not have her last one hanging around?

asdfghj123 · 04/09/2018 22:26

I agree it is pretty grim to shave there. I have been informed by dh that he doesn't shave there - he takes his wash bag containing his razors there so he can shower Confused . Lichen,, she has decided to wear tights anyway Hmm and has completely disregarded the issue over some clear nail polish as this is apparantly an essential item for going back to school as well ?? curtain - she bins them after every use as tbf she does get quite a lot of use out of them in one go - legs, arms, pits, bikini line Blush . We live on a farm and she hasn't done her legs for a few weeks now due to it being legging weather anyway so i can see why she is annoyed as well as she hasn't done it for ages. god its petty Gin

Go to supermarket.

Buy pack of Bic Flex3 men’s razors (the best disposable razors I have ever used).

Give razor to DD.

Problem solved.
