Friends daughter & Instagram

In brief, friends daughter is on last day of summer break. She’s home with two older siblings. She just posted a live video on Instagram of her and her friend playing hide & seek in the house. Showing all the rooms in the house and the fact they’re both alone. Siblings seem to have gone to grandmother who lives minutes walk away. So do I tell friend about video? That the whole world can see all of her home? She’s always maintained none of her kids are on social media so I’m not even sure she knows daughter has an account. For reference daughter is 11. Parents working till late afternoon. Account is not private. I’m not sure friend will be happy about the video but I don’t want to come across like the nosey friend. Opinions?

Yeah I would.

i would mention it to her. the fact that the account is not private means that it could be potentially dangerous.

Spoke to her husband; I know him very well too so told him. He didn’t look pleased at all but the video has now gone so I’m glad I spoke to him.

I would have definitely wanted to know. I have just phoned my 14 year old daighter’s friend’s mum to discuss her daughter’s Instagram usage also. She follows two of her accounts, but not the third. I sent screenshots of the third, as I know her policy on her daughter’s rights to use social media. (And there was some rather mean stuff being said). *Mum and I are friends and had discussed this on phone first so it wasn’t a shock.
