I fondly remember the day I discovered AIBU. I was truly shocked by everything about it! The poster’s dilemmas, the army-bargy, the gobsmackingly direct (and abusive) responses. It was so outrageous, I was hooked!

I think I lurked nervously for around a year before I posted. Now, unless the posters are piling on, you’ll often find me giving my 2 cents!

It's a fascinating window into British society and culture. For an anglophile like myself it is quite addictive.

Ha, glad I'm not the only one with that reaction.

I was previously on a (now closed) site similar to this, but it was all very prim and proper. No swearing, no name calling, no real expression at all really. MN took a day bit of getting used to, but I soon realised I was amongst my people. Not sure what that says about me.
