Noisy neighbours

Live in terraced housing and neighbours are playing music really loudly - earplugs are not doing anything to block it out. Wasn't told of any party happening and they don't seem to have people round - so it's not a party or special occasion as far as I'm guessing. I'd understand if it was a Friday or Saturday night but it's now 1am on a (technically) Monday morning when everyone has work. AIBU to go and knock on their door and ask them to turn it down considerably?!

I'd do it, if they otherwise seem ok. My OH's neighbours sometimes just fall asleep with tv on full blast Confused and he has to rouse them to get them to turn it off. Crazy.

@IdahoJones thanks - feel like I'm being really grumpy but it's inconsiderate if it's intentional (ie haven't fallen asleep)

It's horrible having noisy neighbours.

Yes, tell them!

Maybe tomorrow or early evening - when nobody has been drinking etc.

Sometimes it works!

Thanks. They're still going and I've had zero sleep - 4am....!

OP next time go around between 11.15 and 11.30.

There is nowhere in the country were playing loud music after 11pm in a domestic property with close neighbours is acceptable.
