To be an emotional wimp!

We got a puppy today- I wasn't a huge fan of getting a dog, I've always been a cat lover and we have 2. My husband and children have wanted a dog for a long time and now just so happens to be 'the right time'
We went to view a puppy and ended up taking her home. I was holding her and as we were leaving(still in the bloody woman's house) I burst into tears!
Held puppy on my lap and every time she looked at me I cried and basically cried all the way home!!!!
I'm a grown woman for goodness sake.
I was crying because she was leaving her mum, I was happy, she's bloody cute and I knew it was right but oh my god I was so embarrassed 😂 has anyone else had a reaction like this 😂😂

Ah she's settled in great, thank you. Cats still not keen though, although getting braver 😄

I’ve been like this every time I’ve taken a pup or kitten from a litter, it feels so cruel even though I know it will be someone else if not me. I tried to swerve it last time by going for an older rescue but found it just as hard taking her from her foster family I think we’re probably projecting human emotions onto an animal to some degree but that doesn’t make it any easier! Hope pup is settling well and you feel a bit less emotional now
