Hi, we've just bought an old house that's got lovely panel doors and mortice locks/knobs. There are no keys. Are any of you locksmiths who could point me in the direction of a skeleton key for Edwardian vintage interior door locks? Thanks

A skeleton key for a mortice will work on any mortice, so its unlikely a locksmith will sell you one.
It used to be the case that if you remove the lock and take it to an old fashioned blacksmith or locksmith, they can make you a set of keys.

OK, thanks. Naively assumed today's locks would work differently (and be more secure)

Has your lock got a number imprinted onto it?
Try this place - I got new keys for cupboards from here ( I had no key to copy).
If there is no number, contact them - they're really good!
