So I have a question that I just wanted to float to see if this is normal apologies in advance if this is tmi! Since I had my ds the need to pee feels different, I know that I need to go but I don't know how much I need to go if that makes sense ? It's like the sensitivity has been affected somehow & it means that often when I do pee I end up peeing buckets because I've got to the stage of being very full without knowing. I'm just wondering if this is normal after childbirth or something that I should look into ?

It is normal but should improve. Best to try to go often, whether you want to or not, otherwise you might find it's too late.

I think I have this a bit.

I also have random very small leaks now and then which seem to come from nowhere, when I don’t even feel aware of needing a pee?! I’ve never ever not made it to the toilet in time when needing a pee, and I can stop mid flow at any point... sex doesn’t feel ‘looser’.. I just have these couple of random symptoms?

This is very common after childbirth. It usually resolves itself given time. When was your baby born?

Elephant17 · 31/08/2018 21:32

As in my pelvic floor is strong enough that I can stop on demand (not that anyone usually is insisting I do this)

Elephant17 · 31/08/2018 21:33

Sometimes the leaks happen just 10 minutes after going to the damn toilet, it’s like I’m not able to fully empty my bladder but I don’t feel like there’s anything left?!

BlueSky198080 · 31/08/2018 21:34

What I sometimes get is if I have a wee, if I remain on the toilet looking at my phone about 3-5 minutes later I will have another wee. It’s as though I don’t fully empty my bladder the first time, even though it feels like I have.

BlueSky198080 · 31/08/2018 21:35

Elephant17 you sound similar to me

daisymunchero · 31/08/2018 21:36

Oh well I'm glad that it's normal ! DS is 16 months I don't have any leaks which i know is lucky, it's just that I don't seem to know how full my bladder is anymore. There had been a few times that after peeing I've been so full that it's painful when I empty if that makes sense ?

Someone told me that once you think you have finished, rocking your pelvis forward and trying to go again and then back should get more out.

daisymunchero · 31/08/2018 21:38

Elephant & sky 100% on the not emptying fully first time if I sit for a min or too I can always go again, I always do this before bed to be fully empty for the night !!
