To think CBD oil should be regulated

I’m sitting in a shopping centre and one of those awful carts which usually sell expensive hand cream etc is selling snake oil cbd oil.

I’m not sure what I think of cbd oil, what I tried didn’t work for me but that’s not to say it doesn’t work at all. However, it’s not licensed as a medicine and let’s be honest, it’s no miracle cure yet individual sellers tout it as such.

Surely it should be regulated so if it says cbd on it, it actually has to have a minimum percentage.

It frustrates me because it’s not cheap and people who are in pain generally will try anything.

I have a colleague who like to tell us her weekend exploits high on her CBD vape. It's been explained to her that CBD contais no THC but she won't have that she's not stoned.

I think GPs should just be able to prescribe medical marijuana where applicable, which I believe they can now, so why are people even buying it.

CBD oil works for some people and not for others.

However, there is not a cat in hell’s chance of anyone getting stoned off it, since it doesn’t contain any THC which is what gets you high.

I don't think gps are at all the right people to be prescribing marijuana on prescription. They have a really poor track record when it comes to over-prescribing.

I agree marijuana shouldn’t be available from the GP - pain clinics are better placed for this imo.

My understanding is cannibis oil won’t be available till autumn and I would expect it’s not gps who will prescribe. There is a form for pain already which can be prescribed but is not recommended by NICE as it’s not good value for money.
