Postes it general health but no replies IABU to post here but here goes
Got a Drs appointment after putting it off for months.
Have a DD, 16 months so i put all my symptoms down to that, but surely it can't be.
I'm constantly tired, as soon as i wake up i am tired, struggling to keep my eyes open, and i have a good 7-8 hours sleep a night, sometimes more sometimes less bur i still feel the same. I eat a balanced diet, lots of fruit/veg, not many bad snacks, say around a biscuit/cracker a day with a tea. I take 1 sugar in my tea, probably twice a day, but i cannot shift any weight, ive stayed the same weight for 16 months now, with exercise, I walk around 1 and a half hours a day, and do a 30 minute workout at home 3 days a week with free weights.
My hair is falling out, and is so brittle, my skin is dry. I am constipated much of the time.
I'm always feeling down, i thought baby blues, Or Post natal depression, but my thoughts aren't to do with baby, our bond is great. I'm just anxious all the time of the future, worrying.
Does it sound like hypothyroidism? Hope the DR will be able to give me a diagnosis, I can barely function!

Could be anything really but definitely getting your thyroid levels checked is a must. Your Dr will most likely send you for blood tests for a number of things but make sure you get your iron and thyroid levels checked.

Best of luck hope you get answers

SerenDippitty · 31/08/2018 11:01

It could well be. Glad you are getting it checked.

3girlmama · 31/08/2018 11:10

Could be hypothyroidism but could be a type of anaemia too
Could also be hormonal
Lots of 'could be's'
Best get checked by your gp
I hope the appointment goes ok x

You need to get a blood test at your GP and he will test the T4 and TSH level. They will be able to diagnose from the result.

thenightsky · 31/08/2018 11:13

I have similar symptoms and my TSH came out as 8 on testing. Apparently the NHS won't treat until it reaches 10. I'm sick of living on nearly no food and not losing a pound. I'm sick of being tired all the time and my hair looking like straw. I'm thinking of going private.

Justask · 31/08/2018 11:15

I am hypothyroid and I have all those symptoms when not controlled.

Also struggled TTC and couldn't breastfeed

Purplecrocsrock · 31/08/2018 11:46

Im breastfeeding fine still, But i have no energy at all. Last time my bloods were taken, they said I was low in the normal range for anemia,so didn't give me iron
